On Saturday and Sunday, December 12th and 13th, the Ballet Theatre of Central PA will present A Central Pennsylvania Nutcracker at Eisenhower Auditorium on the Penn State University Park Campus. Performances are at 7:00 pm on Saturday evening with a 3:00 matinee on Sunday afternoon. This is THE "Nutcracker" ballet performance for the State College, Penn State, and Centre County community. This beloved holiday tradition has been enjoyed by thousands of area residents since its world premiere in 2007. A Central Pennsylania Nutcracker is a fully-staged traditional "Nutcracker" rooted in Centre County and Penn State history and tradition. Set in 1863 at the Centre Furnace Mansion, at the height of the Civil War, young Anna Eliza Thompson receives a very unusual holiday gift which sets her on a fantastic journey! Tickets for A Central Pennsylvania Nutcracker are available at all Penn State Center for the Performing Arts tickets locations: Eisenhower Auditorium; The Downtown Theatre Centre; The Bryce Jordan Center; and the HUB-Robeson Center.
